Principal Welcome

Dear Sandhill Family and Friends:

Welcome to Sandhill Elementary School! Our school is home to approximately 415 students in Grades Kindergarten – 5th. Our mission at Sandhill and in the Stoughton Area School District is, “to ensure educational opportunities which challenge all students to achieve excellence, maximize their talents and abilities, prepare them to face the demands of the future, and be literate, contributing members of society.” Our teachers and staff believe that ensuring success for all students comes from having high expectations for learning in a positive, safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment.

We are glad to have you with us this year, and we want to assure you that we will do our best to help all students experience academic, social, and emotional growth. We appreciate family/community input and involvement and know that actively engaged families are a key to Sandhill's continued success. Families are encouraged to participate in Working for Kids, Sandhill's parent group, and other various school and district projects, committees, and groups.

As we move through this school year, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns that you may have. We look forward to a great school year with the students and you!

Robert Johnson, Principal
