Patterson serves serves as Chair of the Governance Committee and an ex-officio member of the Long-Range Planning Committee, Finance & Facilities Committee, Educational Oversight Committee, Employee Relations Committee, Community Relations Committee, Climate & Culture Committee, and Legislative & State Policy Committee.
Lisa Pugh was elected to the school board in April 2022. She previously served as an appointee to the Department of Public Instruction's Equity Council and was appointed by Governor Evers as Co-chair of the Governor's Task Force on Caregiving. Parent to three children including one with a disability, Lisa is a long-time disability advocate. She was appointed by President Obama to the President's Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities. She has worked as a lobbyist and advocate for disability and special education issues with Disability Rights Wisconsin and as the non-profit director for The Arc Wisconsin. She is a former Kennedy Foundation Fellow, serving in the Congressional Committee on Education and Labor and as policy advisor in the U.S. Department of Education. She is currently the News Program Host for the WisconsinEye Public Affairs Network. She lives in Stoughton with her family.
Pugh serves as Chair of the Legislative & State Policy Committee and is a member of the Governance Committee, Educational Opportunities Committee, and Community Relations Committee.

Holly Tellander is a long-time educator who has worked in both general and special education. She holds an BA in Elementary Education, an MA in Multicultural & Bilingual Education and is currently pursuing a MA in Special Education with an emphasis on Deaf & Hard of Hearing Studies. She believes strong public schools are essential for healthy communities and values all of the amazing SASD teachers and staff for making Stoughton Schools a great place to learn and grow.
Mia Croyle is the daughter of two life-long public school educators and a proud graduate of Stoughton schools. She and her husband, Joel, have two students in SASD schools. She has been an active volunteer with Working for Kids since 2016 and has served on the Board of Education since November of 2020.
Mia holds a BA in English and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Valparaiso University. She has worked in various behavioral health and healthcare organizations, and currently works in healthcare quality improvement.
Mia brings a deep appreciation for the hard work that our educators are doing day in and day out. She also brings experience in mobilizing parents and community members to support our schools. She believes that we need to hear from many voices and many perspectives on how to create schools where every student can thrive.
Tim Bubon has served on the school board since 2017. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in elementary/middle school education and creative writing from Beloit College and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Edgewood College. He’s served as a professional educator for nearly 30 years in a variety of capacities including as a teacher, school principal and consultant as well the President of the Board of Directors for the University Avenue Discovery Center; a pre-Kindergarten school in Madison. He currently works for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections facilitating various educational opportunities for inmates and serving as a Security Threat Group Specialist and Crisis Negotiator. Tim is also a nationally certified Sports Performance Enhancement Specialist and works with a variety of young athletes to improve their athletic skills and personal development. Tim lives in Stoughton with his wife, Jennifer, and two children, Mary Estelle and Mathew, who both attend Stoughton schools.
Joe Freye has worked as a collaborative printmaker at Tandem Press since 2000. He holds a BFA from Western Michigan University as well as certification from the Tamarind Institute of Lithography in Albuquerque, NM. Joe has been a member of the Board of Education since 2013. He and his wife Katy have two sons, a sophomore and a junior, who have both benefited from the wonderful educators and educational system of the SASD since beginning in 4K.
Zach Masa-Myers is a Budget Analyst for the U.S. Department of the Army (Wisconsin National Guard). He specializes in managing procurement accounts in excess of $3M, researching and reviewing financial information for contractual purposes, and reviewing current and previous operating budgets to analyze trends. He also proudly serves as a Sergeant in the 132D Army Band as a trumpet player. Zach was a public school music educator and taught English abroad in Israel. At the onset of the pandemic, Zach and his wife, Sarah, moved to Stoughton, and in November 2022, Zach and Sarah welcomed their first child. In April 2023, Zach was elected to the SASD School Board.
