The two question Facilities Referendum 2022 on the November 8th ballot focuses on capital maintenance and addresses safety and security, building systems and energy efficiency, and facility maintenance upgrades. When planning how best to address those needs, the District prioritized outcomes that followed the SASD Facility Planning Guiding Principles.

 Community Assets: 

  • Question 1:  Upgrades to existing buildings, increased greenspace on the River Bluff Campus, and new maintenance building on the Yahara school site with the current Yahara gym still available for community use.  

  • Question 2:  New safer gym space available for physical education classes, student gatherings, and community use while avoiding significant renovations to existing facilities.


  • Question 1: Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance to interior & exterior doors.
  • Question 2: Accessible gym and fitness space for students, families, and community use.

 Sustainable Practices: 

  • Question 1: Updated mechanical systems, energy-efficient lighting and windows, solar to new structures or additions, and added greenspace to the River Bluff campus
