Public Comment: As part of the regular meeting, the Board will accept comments from members of the public. Written comments for the regular board meeting should be submitted via email to Public.Comments@stoughton.k12.wi.us up to 30 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. Comments must not exceed 250 words and must include the name and address of the commenter. Comments that do not meet these criteria or otherwise do not comply with the Board's public comment policy will not be read. 

Employment Application

Professional Applicants

(Teachers, Substitute Teachers, Pupil Services, Coaches and Administrators) should complete and submit an online application at WECAN. (Please do not send any paper documents to the District). In addition please upload the following as attachments in WECAN:

  • Letter of interest, resume and copy of college transcripts. (Unofficial copies are acceptable for your application. Upon employment offer, OFFICIAL transcripts are required for all undergraduate and graduate course work. If you are student teaching at the time you apply, send current transcripts. After graduation send copy of complete transcripts and copy of DPI application or assurance of eligibility from school.)
  • Copy of Wisconsin teacher license or proof of ability to be certified. (For information about teaching licenses, contact the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction).
  • Three professional reference letters.

NOTE: Only candidates who have completed these requirements will be considered for positions.

Selection and Interview Process

The screening process begins with the review of applications by the Human Resources Director and Building Principals or Supervisors. Submitting an application does not assure the candidate of an interview. The Building Principal or Supervisor will contact the selected applicants for an interview.We work in committee to interview and recommend for hire, all candidates in the District. Upon completion of the interviewing process, which includes reference and criminal background checks, the Building Principal or Supervisor will recommend a candidate for hire. For teachers, employment is official after the School Board acts upon the individual contract. Only those candidates interviewed will be notified that the position has been filled.
