Staff Bio/Schedule

Erika Meyer has been with the Stoughton Area School District since 2018 and is at Stoughton High School. Before her High School position she was at River Bluff Middle School in Stoughton. Prior to her arrival in SASD she was in the Madison Metropolitan School District and taught Orchestra and Choir at the Elementary and Middle School level. At the end of her tenure in MMSD she was the Arts Education Teacher Leader in the Central Office where she managed the Elementary Strings Program as well as Professional Development, Curricular Materials, and Curriculum Alignment.  

Erika Meyer holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Education from UW Milwaukee as well as a Master of Science in Educational Psychology earned through the MSPE program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition she is a certified coach for music educators. 

Music has been a part of her life since she started playing violin in the 4th grade. Throughout her school-age years she participated in orchestra and choir as well as theater performances. Even now she still performs with the Madison Area String Orchestra and Carl Davick and Friends in the Monona Gazebo Music Series. 

Outside of school Erika is a Master Adjudicator for Wisconsin School Music Association for District and State Solo & Ensemble Festivals. She also holds an appointed position with the Wisconsin Music Educators Association as the Membership Chair. In addition she is an Advisory Board member for a student organization at UW Madison. 

Erika is a passionate music educator who believes that every child can succeed in music if given the opportunity, materials, and support.
