Middle School Curriculum (Grades 6-8)
Every student, every time, all the time. Our River Bluff Middle School believes all students can learn and through a history of commitment to excellence in education, the curriculum utilized in each school is comprehensive, aligned to state standards and helps students achieve at high levels.
Required Courses
The middle school curriculum is designed to grow to meet the interests, developmental stages, and abilities of students. Students in sixth grade take these "core" academic courses. Physical Education is provided every other day.
Rotation Courses
Students also participate in the exploratory rotation, which includes these six-week courses.
Elective Courses
NOTE: All 6th grade electives are a full year course and are valued at a 1.0.

River Bluff's middle school curriculum is based upon the philosophy that our students have unique needs and characteristics directly related to early adolescent development. School curriculum must reflect the students' need to develop a positive personal identity, begin the formation of future goals and a healthy value system during this period of rapid physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth. Students in seventh grade take these "core" academic courses. Physical Education is provided every other day, opposite health education and career and academic planning courses. Additionally, students must choose "elective" courses.

NOTE: 7th grade electives may be a year long course, valued at a 1.0 OR a semester course, valued at 0.5.
