The Stoughton Area School District Board of Education is thrilled to announce the 2025 Business Honor Roll recipients. These outstanding organizations have demonstrated exceptional support for our students and staff, earning them recognition at the state level by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB).
STOUGHTON, WI, October 6, 2025 — The Stoughton Area School District Board of Education is thrilled to announce the 2025 Business Honor Roll recipients. These outstanding organizations have demonstrated exceptional support for our students and staff, earning them recognition at the state level by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB).
The Business Honor Roll program celebrates local businesses that go above and beyond in partnering with their community schools. This year's honorees are:
- Pizza Pit: A strong community partner providing meaningful employment opportunities for high school students and consistently supporting school activities, including sponsoring athletic programs and making generous donations to school dances.
- Stoughton Area Resource Team, Inc (START): Profoundly impacted the district by supporting students facing crisis, immediately providing emergency housing, covering rent, and furnishing an apartment to ensure student stability and continued education.
- Viking Day Camp: A valued partner that actively participates in school events (like Trunk or Treat), provides essential after-school and summer care, and generously donates to local youth sports programs, promoting healthy lifestyles.
- Imagine Academy: Provided students in transition programs with a safe, supportive space to build real-world work skills through volunteer opportunities, promoting responsibility, independence, and confidence in a highly inclusive environment.
- Heartland Farm Sanctuary: Offers meaningful volunteer placements for transition students, allowing them to develop basic workplace skills and enjoy positive, rewarding experiences with animals, fostering a strong sense of value and gratitude.
District Administrator Dr. Dan Keyser commented on the importance of these partnerships: “The collaboration we share with our 2025 Business Honor Roll partners is a powerful engine for student success. Their involvement goes far beyond simple sponsorship; they are directly shaping our future workforce. Their dedication to offering mentorship, hands-on skill development, and real-world perspective makes the difference between a good education and a truly transformative one.”
