The Stoughton Area School District (SASD) is very thankful for the continuous support we receive from our community. We will continue to keep you informed about next steps in the facilities planning process.

Our Community & Staff Survey hit mailboxes in early May, planning for a potential referendum in November 2022.The Stoughton area is a great place to live, learn, and raise a family. Our community is warm, generous, and involved. The Stoughton Area School District (SASD) is very thankful for the support we receive.
Our focus is learning and belonging for all. To help support this goal, we are in the process of developing a long-range plan to address our facilities’ needs. The Board of Education believes this is a good time to consider our options. Over the next year, we will be paying off debt that funded past building projects. In addition, we have taken the opportunity to refinance debt, when possible, to save interest expenses. These actions will reduce the tax impact of any new spending.
To help guide our planning process, we held eight staff and community workshops. While we heard many ideas, we wanted to hear from you, our taxpayers, before any plans were finalized. Surveys were sent to each household in the district and to SASD families and staff. The deadline for the survey was May 30, 2022.
