The Wisconsin Association of School Nurses awards committee is happy to announce that the 2020 recipient of the Kathyrn Etter School Nurse of the Year Award is SASD's district nurse, Laurel Gretebeck!
Laurel has a tenure of 22 years in the Stoughton Area School District. She supports 2680 students. Laurel has served on the WASN board of directors in the Secretary role. She was a member of a state-level workgroup with the Department of Public Instruction to develop the resource field trip toolkit. Laurel teaches nursing classes at the post-secondary level and has nursing students with her every semester. She also is a Nationally Certified School Nurse. Laurel has helped schools in her district become Heart Safe Schools through Project Adam. Laurel promotes school nursing not only in her district and community but across the state.
