Watch D.O.G.S is an innovative program focusing on education and safety in schools by using the positive influence of fathers and father-figures for a two-fold purpose:

To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.

To provide extra set of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

Fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles and community members are asked to spend at least ½ or one whole day at Kegonsa being a Watch D.O.G. This will be our second year having this program and our first was an overwhelming success. Students immediately gravitated towards whoever our Watch D.O.G. of the day was. Most powerful was the pride both the students had bring in their male role model along with the pride and enjoyment shown by our Watch D.O.G.S At Kegonsa we make your day as a D.O.G. easy and stress free as possible. Upon arrival you will get a detailed schedule of where and when you should be throughout the day. Some of the things you may find yourself doing our having lunch with students, playing at recess, working in small groups, reading to students or simply being an extra set of hands and ears. We really encourage our Watch D.O.G.S to interact and show our students their strengths. Overall we simply ask that you have fun and enjoy your experience at Kegonsa, the lives you change in only one day is immense and can be seen firsthand.
