4th Graders at the Overture Center

Students in 4th grade at Sandhill went to the Overture to hear the Madison Symphony perform their fall Youth Concert on November 7th. The Symphony sent two musicians (an oboist and a violist) to our school with a docent a couple of weeks before to help the kids learn about the music they would be hearing.

Students heard Dvorak's New World Symphony, Gould's "American Salute", Copland's "A Lincoln Portrait" and the ever-popular "Stars and Stripes Forever" by John Phillip Sousa. They had a great time!
