Back to School Events 2023-24
Our annual online registration launches during the last week of the 2022-23 school year. You will pay fees later in the summer.
In addition to online registration, you will also attend one or both of the following events:
Back to School & Open House for Grades 6-12
Registration for Grades 6-12 will be at your child's school (River Bluff or SHS) on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and Monday, August 21, 2023 from 2-7 p.m. No appointment is needed. School pictures will be taken.
If you can’t make it to registration, school pictures will be taken on make up day and schedules can be accessed on Infinite Campus.
Middle School Open House for grades 6-8 will be TBD
High School Freshman Orientation will be TBD
High School Open House for grades 9-12 will be TBD

Back to School for Grades K-5
Grades K-5 teacher placements will be available on August 17, 2023, accessed through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. After receiving your teacher placement, you will receive sign-ups for Back to School conferences.
Back to School Conferences will take place at your student's elementary school. Conferences are by appointment on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 7am - 7pm. School pictures will be taken on your conference day.
If you can't make it to conferences, please reach out to your teacher. School pictures can be taken on make up days (TBD).

First & Last Day of School
School begins on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. The last day of school is Friday, June 7, 2024.
Winter & Spring Break
- No School (Winter Break): Friday, December 22, 2023 through Monday, January 1, 2024. Classes resume Tuesday, January 2.
- No School (Spring Break): March 25, 2024 through March 29, 2024. Classes resume Monday, April 1, 2024.

There are important steps you can take after July 1 to be sure your student receives the meals they need next year. Read more on our Food Service page.

Our Health Services staff will have a booth at our Back to School events. Items to drop off include:
- Medication drop-off and completed medication forms
- Allergy action plan drop-off
- Immunization updates
- Forms for kindergarteners
If you need any of these forms, visit our Health Services webpage.
Reminder to incoming 6th graders: Make sure to receive your required Tdap immunization and inform the health services team when completed.
High School Student Parking
Sign Up release date TBD. To submit your request form, visit our High School Student Parking webpage.
Schedules & Teacher Placements
High school and middle school schedules will be available on August 17, 2024. We will notify you via email.
Grades K-5 teacher placements will also be available on August 17, 2024 accessed through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. After receiving your teacher placement, you will receive signups for Back to School conferences.
School Pictures & Yearbooks
School pictures will take place during Back to School events. If you can't make it, school pictures can be taken on make up days listed below. You may order pictures here.
Yearbooks for all grades are ordered on line directly from the vendor. Watch your inbox for more information when the school year gets underway.

Elementary students access devices at school, and high school and middle school students have assigned devices that they are expected to bring to and from school.

ALL SASD families are reminded to download and sign up for the Stopfinder app! All families must use the app to receive next year’s route information and communications from the transportation department.
Via the Stopfinder app, families with students eligible for transportation will receive a message from our transportation department over the summer. Please read the Stopfinder message carefully and complete the form that will be provided.
