2020 ONLINE REGISTRATION - OPEN 8/5/20 - 8/19/20


The annual online registration process for students is now open and required for all families.  In this online process, you will be to do the following by August 19th. 

  • review student and household information
  • answer a few questions regarding online learning
  • sign off on the annual free and reduced meals application and student handbook, and
  • pay your registration fee

The door to door meal process for fall has been communicated.  Please click here for the 8/14 District Digest outlining the program and changes from spring. 


  • Please note that students automatically approved for free or reduced meals have already received approval letters. 
  • If you feel you may qualify for free or reduced please complete the online application through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account, click here to print a copy or contact Jenny McKenna at jenny.mckenna@stoughton.k12.wi.us to request a paper copy via mail.  
  • If you were approved via income (a paper/online application) in 2019-20 those benefits will expire in early October.  If you feel you may qualify again for 2020-21 please submit an application as soon as possible to avoid any lapse in benefits.

Our technology team is currently working on the plan for student devices for the 20-21 school year.  Our student materials pick-up days are August 26 and 27, times to be determined.  All kindergarten students will receive an iPad and all 1-12 students will receive Chromebooks.  Families without reliable internet access may qualify for a district-owned hotspot.  No action is required of families at this time. 

  • Devices are chrome books (not touch screen)
  • Students in grade K-6 will receive devices prior to school starting
  • Students entering grades  7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 will retain the devices that they were given last year
  • Students entering 9th grade will be asked to participate in a device exchange at the high school in the near future

NOTE: If you had a student in grades K-5 LAST YEAR, were given a district hot spot and have not returned it, please do so as soon as possible following these guidelines:

Device should be labeled with the student name and brought to the district office at 320 North St.  Hours are   M-R 8am-3:30 pm.  When arriving please click the security buzzer under the window to the right of the door and leave device on the table in the entryway. 


Over the next several weeks the health services team will be reaching out to families with current health conditions on file to review and make any updates/changes for the 20-21 school year.

If you are brand new to the district and have a health condition to discuss or report, please email laurel.gretebeck@stoughton.k12.wi.us and someone from the health services team will get back to you.



Planning for school pictures grades 1-12 will resume at the point in time the district is in a position to discuss a move to onsite learning. 

KINDERGARTEN ONLY will have pictures taken 8/18 at the Kindergarten Meet and Greets.   Watch your inbox for an appointment sign up email form your building kindergarten team.   Communications should come out by 8/11.  **Note that our focus is on kindergarten students as we currently do not have an pictures on file for them in our student software which will be critical when we resume classes on site. 


ELEMENTARY teacher placements and MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL schedules will be available at a later date as we continue to work plans for the 20-21 school year.

What is my registration fee for?

to help support the cost of providing every student a device as well as consumable supplies and other costs when students return to the buildings.

What about school supplies?
Some building do have school supplies listed and can be found on the link to the left.  However, some buildings have not yet set their lists.  

What about HS parking?
