Adopt a Flower Bed

To make our community even more beautiful. Many municipalities around the country showcase flower beds to add beauty to their downtown areas. Door County communities and Breckenridge are communities that are often noted for their beautiful floral beds in their downtown areas. 

Each flower bed can be “sponsored/adopted” for the summer for $500. This can be one business or individual, or a group working together to raise the funds.

No, the City of Stoughton will water and maintain the beds; sponsorship is hassle-free!

There will be 8 flower beds. They will be placed on both sides of Main Street from Water Street to Fourth Street.

The beds will be placed on Main Street a few days before Syttende Mai and will be on Main Street until Labor Day.

Yes, your name will be appear on a specific flower bed as a sponsor of that flower bed.

All money raised will be evenly split between the Stoughton High School FFA and the Stoughton Art Department. Ms. Sam White's FFA students grew and planted the flowers in the beds and the Ms. Ruth Phillips' art student painted the murals on the side of each bed.

The flower beds will be located on Main Street, on both sides of the street, from Water Street to Fourth Street.

The flower beds will be placed in their locations between May 10th and May 17th.

These 8 custom cedar raised beds are 69” long by 25” wide. The planting area is 62” by 18” and 7” deep.

The murals will be 12” by 18” in size and will be attached to the sides of the flower beds. The art will be one of four themes: Stoughton, Nordic, the Future, and the Environment. The art is created by Ms. Ruth Phillips' art students from Stoughton High School.

This is a collaboration between the Stoughton School District, the City of Stoughton, the City of Stoughton Public Works Department, the Stoughton High School FFA, and the Stoughton High School Art Department.
