COVID-19 Data Dashboard
Our SASD COVID-19 Data Dashboard is updated each Friday and provides a district-wide view of current active COVID-19 cases and quarantines/isolations. We began sharing a weekly COVID-19 dashboard since November 2020.
Each week our dashboard will display the following four numbers, explained on this page:
- Positive Staff Cases
- Positive Student Cases
- Staff in Quarantine or Isolation
- Students in Quarantine or Isolation
Numbers are districtwide and a snapshot in time.
About Positive Cases
Students and staff counted in these categories have tested positive for COVID-19 and are isolated. Not all cases in this category mean the individual contracted COVID-19 at school. Instead it means that the individual is not in school because they have tested positive for COVID-19.
About Quarantine or Isolation Numbers
Students and staff counted in these categories have not tested positive for COVID-19 but have one or more of the following:
- The individual is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19
- The individual is required to be absent from school or work after being considered a close contact with an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19
- The individual is waiting on test results.
Can you break down COVID numbers by building?
When we don’t disclose how many COVID-19 cases or quarantines are in each school building, it leaves room for guesswork.
We have received requests to break down our data by building. We have been advised by our legal team to not disclose information that is considered personally identifiable. Personally identifiable information is information that can reasonably lead an individual to identify who has the positive COVID case.
Some larger districts in the surrounding areas break down numbers by building, but those that do do not report numbers less than 5 or 6. This is to limit disclosing personally identifiable information.
We know you will have questions and we ask that you honor the confidentiality of both students and staff to the extent provided by applicable law.
